I agree, having traveled around many Practices, I am always amazed at the volume of paper files stacked up in Solicitors offices. I have seen a number with no floor space, except for a path from the door to the chair, and at the walls stacks up to 5 feet high. A few things I always wonder: Why do they need so many paper copies? How can they find what they need? What a waste of paper. What a huge fire risk, in addition, if there was a fire, how many of the paper files have a back up contingency? Most of us on the IT side know the electronic alternatives, but however it seems we need to let the non-it staff know and embark on a education program.
