What a difference a year makes. Visitor figures for The Orange Rag blog have hit a new high. The total number of visitors (measured as distinct URLs) has increased by 40% from 11,000 in November 2007 to 15,500 in November 2008. And the site traffic (measured as page views) has increased by a massive 140% from 100,000 in November 2007 to 240,000 in November this year. On weekdays the average number of page views is 10,000 a day – hitting 16,000 a day when major news stories break. We'd like to thank all our regular visitors – and of course Vin Murria, IRIS and LexisNexis – for making this all possible.

Well done Charles, I have been an avid reader and fan of your editorial pickings since joining the wonderful world of Legal IT back in the late 90s.
I have also recently discovered www.rollonfriday.com, and find their weekly updates most amusing. This week is particularly informative having announced the results of their firm of the year. Firstly the rewards appear to be based on actual nominations by employees of the firms in question (unlike some annual awards that spring to mind), and the assessment criteria is based on real life, I agree the quality of meeting room biscuits, toilets, staff phwoar, and of course quality of pay make for a happy workplace! Keep up the good work! Re: Re: Orange Rag traffic hits new high
Thanks for the comment. Totally agree about RollOnFriday. First of all awards have to have some integrity if they are to be credible. And secondly there needs to be a fun element. Tho now I think of it, I don't think I've ever seen (never mind been offered) a biscuit when I've visited a legal IT vendor. As for the staff phwoar factor, we would be skating on dangerously thin politically incorrect ice if we ever launched an award containing a LITPILF category.

We supply biscuits as well as tea, coffee and water. And I think it could be fun skating on that thin ice - it might even overtake the IRIS thread with number of contributions.
